Liberty Sunday: This Weekend!
I hope you'll join me this weekend as FRC airs its nationwide
simulcast, "Liberty Sunday: Defending Our First Freedom." On Sunday,
October 15 at 7 p.m. ET, we will broadcast live from Tremont Temple
Baptist Church in Boston, Massachusetts, where we will examine how
the homosexual agenda has threatened, and same-sex marriage would
further threaten, the right of people of faith to express their
beliefs in the public square. You'll hear stories from families who
are in the midst of the battle for religious liberty--one of the
first freedoms to be sacrificed as same-sex marriage was legalized
in Massachusetts and as the homosexual agenda advances across the
nation and gains government sanction. You'll also hear from leaders
in Massachusetts and across the nation with appearances by
Massachusetts First Lady Ann Romney, Gov. Mitt Romney, Dr. James
Dobson, William Donohue, Chuck Colson, Gary Bauer, Alan Sears, and
others. In addition, you will hear testimony from people who have
suffered because of sexual license taking precedence over religious
liberty. There are several ways to watch or listen to this important
event. Check our website to determine if visiting a local host
church, watching satellite television, listening on the radio, or
watching via live internet webcast is best for you. Please join me
on Sunday as we examine the cultural and legal influences that
threaten to restrict our right to freely exercise our beliefs.

Avoiding the Lion's Breath
Within the Roman Empire, feeding Christians to the lions was seen
as sport in ancient Rome. I hate to remind people of this barbarous
practice because I wouldn't want the ACLU or Barry Lynn of Americans
United for Separation of Church and State (AU) to get any ideas. The
latest cries of outrage from those on the left can only be described
as anti-Christian. Today, the Washington Post talks about a
comedian who also happens to be a Christian, Keith Deltano. Often
religious speakers will go into schools to talk about personal
messages on topics such as suicide, bullying or drugs. Mr. Deltano
is a former teacher who has been traveling the country talking about
abstinence for over a decade. He has two distinct shows for secular
and non-secular audiences and uses humor to get the kids thinking
about the facts concerning premarital sex. Still the ACLU felt
compelled to write a letter to the Loudoun County High principal
ordering the school to take extra precautions. Barry Lynn also
warned that "schools need to be extremely careful when they tread
into these waters." Tread into what waters? Hiring people who are
also Christians? These are the same groups that demand homosexuals
have special rights, but actively deny Christians basic rights that
should be shared by all. In ancient Rome, the government used the
lions to spread fear through the ranks of Christianity in hopes of
deterring and devouring the faithful. Today, we have the felines of
the ACLU and Americans United using the government to spread the
fear and intimidate.

Exposing the Agenda to Redefine Moral Values

Washington Watch Weekly
On this week's edition of Washington Watch Weekly, I will be
taking a look at the important issue of stem cell research and a
proposed amendment on the ballot in Missouri. I'll also be talking
to FRC's new Vice President of Pastors' Outreach Dr. Kenyn Cureton
about what your church can do to be involved in the political
process, both morally and legally.
